Job Title: Programmer / Analyst - Financials
 
Our client, one of the largest restaurant companies in the U.S. and headquartered here in Syracuse, New York has an opening for a highly motivated Programmer/Analyst who is familiar with the configuration and support of ERP Finance Application modules.  Candidates will be supporting PeopleSoft applications and related interfaces to other systems.
 
Minimum Requirements of Programmer / Analyst position:
•A 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
•A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with ERP applications and a significant programming background.  
•Strong work experience with the MS Office Suite, SQL, Oracle relational D/B, and exposure to web based development is required.    
•The ideal candidate is expected to have effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact with functional users and I/S professionals.  
 
Responsibilities:
•Analysis and programming of PeopleSoft Version 9.1 Finance Modules (G/L, A/P, Assets, Purchasing, Projects) – will train candidates with other Financial ERP module experience.
•Gather and document requirements.
•Test enhancements; work with end users to ensure accuracy.
•Complete PeopleSoft module upgrades.
 
Required:
•Relational Data Base with Oracle as primary including stored procedures
•SQR (or similar language)
•MS Office Suite
 
Additional Desired Skills:
•Knowledge of PeopleSoft E-Performance module
•Microsoft SSRS, SQL Server D/B and stored procedures
•MS Visual Studio and .Net Development
•Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley controls covering software life cycle management
