Location: Johnson City, NY Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care Estimated Start Date: November 18, 2024 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,554 Duration: 13 Weeks Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Will accept local candidates at a lower rates (under 50 miles) Hours Per Week: 36 Shift: Days (7 AM - 7 PM) Nights (7 PM - 7 AM) Key Responsibilities As a Med-Surg Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions, typically following surgery or other treatments. Your duties will include:

• Managing patient care plans, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs
• Assisting in post-surgical care and monitoring patient recovery
• Educating patients and families on health management and discharge instructions
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation in the Epic EMR system
• Responding promptly to changes in patients' conditions and acting accordingly
• Supporting patients through admissions, transfers, and discharges This Med-Surg unit provides an opportunity to work with a variety of patient cases, enhancing your clinical expertise in multiple areas of nursing. Qualifications
• Active RN license in New York (or compact license)
• BLS certification required
• 1-2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience
• Familiarity with Epic EMR systems is a plus
