Job descriptionOMNI Surgery Center/OMNI Pain and Precision
Medicine is seeking LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES (LPNs) for WEEKDAY
SHIFTS, at its state-of-the-art, multi-specialty, ambulatory
surgery center in Utica, New York. Multiple part-time positions
available, with flexible shifts from 8 - 12 hours. No weekends, no
nights, no on-call.RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluating symptoms, reactions,
and progress of patients pre and post operatively.Prepares patients
for surgery, assist physician during surgery, observe and monitor
post-op patients.Prepares rooms, equipment and supplies to
accommodate the patient load.Assists physician with
procedure.Provides patient education. Assists in transporting
patient from pre-op/admit area to procedure room after greeting and
identifying patient.Assists with opening supplies and assisting
with surgical preparation.Assists in maintaining a comfortable,
orderly, clean safe environment.Documents on all forms as
required.Adheres to the Center's policies and procedures.Maintains
open and positive communication with nursing personnel and other
health professionals.Communicates in a positive manner with
patients, families/significant others.Maintains professionalism in
fast paced setting.Participates in continuing education
programs.Participates in risk management and quality assurance
activities.Other duties as assigned.Job Types:
