Clinical Nurse III: SCC Operating Room at Albany Medical Center summary: The Clinical Nurse III in the SCC Operating Room provides compassionate patient care during surgical procedures while collaborating with the nursing team to develop and implement patient care plans. This role requires managing patient needs, administering medications, and conducting diagnostic tests as needed. With a focus on professional nursing standards, the Clinical Nurse ensures the safety and well-being of patients in a supportive environment, working Monday through Friday without weekend or holiday shifts. Department/Unit: SCC Operating Room Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61 NO WEEKENDS or HOLIDAYS. The Operating Room Clinical Nurse contributes to the creation of a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families and colleagues through displays of kindness and active listening. Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93 NO WEEKENDS or HOLIDAYS. M-F 9-5:30 Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions. Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions. Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered. Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
